He is in demand as a private teacher and coach for medieval fiddle, renaissance violin, baroque violin, the accompaniment of singers and dancers.

His lessons in stylistic improvisation have received high marks from people who were "always afraid of making something up."

For the last four years he has been teaching English to Dutch grade schoolers (ages 4- 10.)
